The Village: A History of Greenwich Village; 400 years of Tragedy, Bohemians, and the Arts

The Village: A History of Greenwich Village; 400 years of Tragedy, Bohemians, and the Arts In-Person

Presented by Mario Medici, Lecturer and Licensed NYC Tour Guide

There’s more to Greenwich Village than meets the eye. Once the epicenter of the 1960s counterculture movement, the Village has evolved from its bohemian roots into one of New York City’s most desirable and stylish neighborhoods.

Home to the West Village, Washington Square Park, and the NYU campus, the area includes a 100-block historic district established in 1969. Greenwich Village is renowned for its beautiful architecture, cozy cafés, unique restaurants, and vibrant atmosphere.

Join amateur photographer, art history enthusiast, and avid researcher, Mario Medici, as he takes you on a photographic tour of the sights and attractions of Greenwich Village based on his own trips to the area and gives you a feel of this diverse and energetic neighborhood.
